Agnes Crowder Bush, 93, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (November 26, 2016). The Lord answered her earnest prayer to "go home." Agnes was born in Toms Creek, VA on March 27, 1923 to the late Gilbert & Paralie (Joyner) Crowder. She moved to Kingsport in the 1940's and was employed by the Kingsport Press. Agnes Crowder Bush, 93, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (November 26, 2016). The Lord answered her earnest prayer to "go home." Agnes was born in Toms Creek, VA on March 27, 1923 to the late Gilbert & Paralie (Joyner) Crowder. She moved to Kingsport in the 1940's and was employed by the Kingsport Press. On January 31, 1953 she married the love of her life, Alfred L. Bush. Agnes became a housewife and remained so until her passing.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Herschell and Jimmy Crowder; four sisters, Lillian Bush, Elnora Steadman, Marjorie Bowser, and Ada Crowder; and two nieces, Sue Bowser and Terry Crowder.

Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Alfred L. Bush; son, Randall Bush & wife Susan; daughter, Sandra Wolfe & husband Jerry; especially beloved grandson, Alex Bush; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday (November 30, 2016) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn with Rev. Jeff Strong officiating.

Committal services will be held on Thursday (December 1, 2016) at 2 p.m. in the Garden of Hope of East Lawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Sullivan Baptist Church c/o Building Fund in memory of Agnes Bush (4152 Maplewood Street, Kingsport, TN 37660).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to nieces Kathy Rochester, Pam Alexander, and Lou Tankersly for their many visits to see Agnes; Amedisys Hospice for their love and compassionate care; also, thanks is not enough to the staff of the Wexford House for the love shown to Agnes over the last four years, you will never know how much the family appreciates your staff.
