Betty Ann Million, 87, passed on Sunday (May 14, 2017) following an extended illness. Betty was born on June 3, 1929 to the late Tommy Legg & Louise (Orick) Ward in Stickleyville, VA.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Million; sisters, Frances Million, Eva Jean Beverly, Geraldine Mullins, Erma Lou Laster, and Peggy Cridlin; and...

Betty Ann Million, 87, passed on Sunday (May 14, 2017) following an extended illness. Betty was born on June 3, 1929 to the late Tommy Legg & Louise (Orick) Ward in Stickleyville, VA.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Million; sisters, Frances Million, Eva Jean Beverly, Geraldine Mullins, Erma Lou Laster, and Peggy Cridlin; and brothers, Billy Ward, Don Ward, and Bobby Ward.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Patricia Million Ramsey & husband Jerry; two granddaughters, Tammy Orton & husband Jimmy and Jodi Bishop & husband Randy; brother, Tommy Ward; sister, Shirley Rutherford; two great-granddaughters, Allie Orton and Brianna Bishop; great grandson, Brenden Bishop; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family will greet guests and share memories on Thursday (May 18, 2017) from 3 to 5 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn with Brother Jerry Ramsey and Brother Tim Frisby officiating. Betty will be entombed beside her loving husband, James, in Mausoleum II at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brenden Bishop, Randy Bishop, Jimmy Orton, and Holden Light.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Elmcroft of Kingsport (Memory Care Unit) for all of the compassionate care given to Betty during her stay.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to a charity of your choice.
