Laura Ann Miller, 86, passed away on Tuesday (August 8, 2017) surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born on August 28, 1930 to the late Frank & Jane (Magnifico) Spinelli in Auburn, NY. Laura married the love of her life, Garland Douglas Miller, and after 62 years of a wonderful marriage, he survives.

Laura was a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge #972 where she also held many offices including Senior Regent of the Women's Chapter. Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lynn Miller; sister, Ann Spinelli; and two brothers, Joe and Bill Spinelli.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Garland Douglas Miller; daughter, Lisa Miller (Mike Ulrich); daughter-in-law and caretaker, Stacy Miller; granddaughter, Dani Miller; brother-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Miller (Ann); nieces and nephews, Kenny Miller, Debra (Richard) Lattamore, Karen O'Hora, F.J. Spinelli (Kat), Billy (Annelise) Spinelli, and Joe Spinelli (Christine); and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday (August 11, 2017) from 11 a.m. to noon at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at noon in the chapel of East Lawn with Father Michael Cummins officiating.

Committal services will be held at 1 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Jericho Temple Shriners (c/o Laura Miller) (P.O. Box 5548 Kingsport, TN 37663).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Laura's caregivers Jodi Mahaffey and Neressa Priskorn for all of their love and care that was given to Laura in her final days.
