Virginia "Ginny" Rebecca Bryant, age 91, of Kingsport, departed this life on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on April 19, 1926 in Morristown, Tennessee to the late Miller S. Price and the late Mamie Katherine Wilder Price. She is also preceded in death by her husband William Allen Bryant, Sr.; two brothers: Ralph Price and George Price; two sisters: Louise Dickerson and Katherine Hixon. Virginia was a member of Preston Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder, organized many of the church events and assisted with feeding...

Virginia "Ginny" Rebecca Bryant, age 91, of Kingsport, departed this life on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on April 19, 1926 in Morristown, Tennessee to the late Miller S. Price and the late Mamie Katherine Wilder Price. She is also preceded in death by her husband William Allen Bryant, Sr.; two brothers: Ralph Price and George Price; two sisters: Louise Dickerson and Katherine Hixon. Virginia was a member of Preston Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder, organized many of the church events and assisted with feeding those who were sick and shut in or had experienced a loss. She enjoyed spending her time working with flowers and often volunteered her time arranging flowers for the hospital gift shop. She loved to tend to her garden.

Virginia leaves behind to honor her legacy her sons: William Allen Bryant and wife Vicki of Kingsport, TN, Greg Price Bryant and wife Lisa of Kingsport, TN and Richard Martin Bryant of Kingsport: one brother: Claude Price and wife Ann of Morristown, TN; six grandchildren: William Andrew Bryant and wife Courtney of Knoxville, TN, Jacob Owen Bryant and wife Eliza of Knoxville, TN, Dr. Jenny Sangid and husband Jordan of Knoxville, TN, Zachary Martin Bryant of Nashville, TN, Katie Grace Bryant of Johnson City, TN, and John Alden Bryant of Kingsport, TN; one great grandchild: Wednesday Katherine Bryant of Knoxville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service to commemorate the life of Virginia Bryant will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of Mausoleum II at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Lisa Bryant officiating. Entombment will follow the service with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
